A U.S.-based company developing a no-code enterprise application platform to aid businesses in designing, deploying, and managing complex applications is looking for a DevOps/TechOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing complex tasks in a simplified, scalable, and performant manner. The company is helping customers to transform the world and develop innovative ideas into future-proof software. The company has raised more than $360 mn during their Series C round of funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to the engineering manager of the Cloud Infrastructure team
- Commit to the team’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals created in the application
- Automate and keep the services running while improving them to achieve high availability, resiliency, scalability, security, and cost optimization in AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation
- Evolve the systems by pushing for changes that remove barriers
- Build tools to deploy and monitor essential cloud infrastructure, defining code with Ansible and Terraform
- Promote industry best practices for security, automation, scalability, and high availability
- Develop software release and deployment processes/infrastructure (CI/CD)
- Work with engineering teams across the company to understand service requirements to help achieve the results in delivering them
- Participate as a partner in planning the product roadmap, sprint planning, and stand-ups
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
- Write documentation across your projects
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- A minimum of 3+ years of Cloud experience with any of AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
- Prior experience with containers, specifically Kubernetes
- Extensive experience with Linux
- Prolific experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Nice to have 3 or more years of experience developing cloud infrastructure at a large-scale
- Experience with networking and modern web services architectures
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Background in Linux/Unix administration
- Experience architecting services within AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad in production
- Experience in security auditing and best practices
- Experience building infrastructure through software (Ansible and Terraform)
- Familiarity with agile processes
- Fluent in verbal and written English
