A fast-growing company developing an innovative FinTech application that enables easy and secure money transfer services is looking for a Tech Lead. The selected candidate will be in charge of mentoring and advising team members on industry best practices. The company’s cutting-edge technology enables immigrants to transfer money back home through mobile money wallets on popular networks. The company has managed to secure $78 mn+ during their Series B round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product, operations, and customer support teams
• Design and build a reliable and simple experience for the company’s users
• Take ownership of the development of mobile application products
• Build scalable experiences using React Native
• Develop reusable components for future use and implementation
• Work closely with design and product teams to regularly ship features
• Participate in release planning and deployment of released build
• Mentor and advise junior team members
• Assess and deliver timeline estimates for projects

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• A minimum of 7+ years of experience building consumer facing applications
• At least 2+ years of experience leading technical projects and/or technical teams
• Prior experience owning user-facing features end-to-end, from conception to launch
• Demonstrable experience developing software in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Expertise in building and maintaining a shared component library
• Proficiency with React or React Native
• Experience in Java and Kotlin
• Experience working on systems having real-world performance and reliability constraints
• Excellent communication and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Fluent in verbal and written English
