A U.S.-based company building world-class enterprise software focused on the upstream oil and gas segment is looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing guidance to the engineers and cross-functional teams to follow the best practices. The company is creating a comprehensive platform that enables businesses to access resources, tasks, and workflow flexibility, enabling them to advance their sectors. The company has managed to raise $18mn+ during their Series A round of funding. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the IST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the internal CI/CD pipelines
- Work with the team on improving product reliability through automation, chaos testing, and process improvement
- Ensure high service availability, performance, security, and maintainability
- Debug production issues across services and stacks
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Extensive experience in SQL and as a Database Administrator
- Problem-solving and critical thinking ability
- Fluent in verbal and written English
