The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining various applications for mobile platforms and over-the-top devices. Job Responsibilities:

• When designing solutions, ensure that non-functional needs such as security, performance, maintainability, usability, and dependability are taken into account
• Follow and implement coding standards and organizational structures as needed
• Create technical documentation that is clear and consistent
• Maintain job knowledge by learning new programming approaches and development tools
• Take advantage of educational opportunities, read professional periodicals, and keep your personal and professional networks up to date
• Assist in creating and architecting new product concepts and strategies, suggesting appropriate technological methods (libraries, frameworks, etc.)
• As needed, learn and apply new frameworks, languages, and technologies
• Collaboration with the technology and design teams is required to produce content-driven features, tools, and projects
• Using collaboration tools, keep coworkers up to date on tasks and project progress (tickets, pull requests, internal communications, etc.)
• Collaborate with other team members to establish a healthy and productive culture, as well as to contribute to the overall success
• Other tasks, functions, and activities may be changed or allocated as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Experience with Swift-based Apple (tvOS/iOS) platform development
• Experience with Android, Roku, or Fire TV development is a plus
• Understanding of software engineering practices, object-oriented analysis & design, and design patterns and algorithms is preferred
• Familiarity with API development and consumption is nice to have
• Portfolio of digital projects
• Experience designing and developing mobile and/or over-the-top apps
• Ability to program in at least Swift and preferably other common app platform programming languages used in native mobile app development, such as Objective-C, Java, etc.
• Ability to work independently and with short-term contractor development teams as needed
• App developer certifications are pluses
• Proficiency in English
