A U.S.-based company that aims to revolutionize the fandom experience for sports, entertainment, and cultural enthusiasts, is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be collaborating closely with the product and design teams to see features through production from design. The company is building an NFT platform to create unique digital collections. The company has managed to raise more than $200mn in funding so far. This position requires an overlap of 6-8 hours with the PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Write code that works quickly and efficiently
- Ensure every code written is trustworthy and secure
- Work effectively with a high degree of autonomy
- Interact with other team members to work together and develop the app’s mission-critical components
- Take charge of the company’s core services, libraries, and products
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop the frontend architecture
- Support other engineers with code Reviews and intellectual leadership
- Make precise technical plans for the project’s execution and implementation, develop new systems, improve current ones, and take part in design reviews
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
- Demonstrable experience working with Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and SASS/CSS
- Solid knowledge of both object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Prior experience optimizing JavaScript performance and browser layout rendering
- Prolific experience working with front-end frameworks/SPAs and REST
- Experience working with Web GL and Canvas
- Prior experience operating independently while demonstrating creativity
- Deliver results in an organized and detail-oriented manner
- In-depth knowledge of front-end testing best practices like integration tests, unit tests, and CSS regression is desirable
- Nice to have prior startup experience
- Familiarity with NFTs and Ethereum is desirable
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
