The role is responsible to lead potato storage agenda and ensure the compliance to applicable PepsiCo Agricultural standards in procurement, handling, transportation and storage of agro raw materials. The role is also responsible to manage good quality potato supplies from storages and storage KPIs. He has to coordinate effectively with other associated functions/3rd party storage owners to align and execute action plan for improvement.



  • To liaison with plant and field team and production planning to align in time potato requirement of plant and ensure issuance of right quality potato for production from storages
  • To maintain storage conditions relative humidity, Temperature and CO2 for received potatoes as per PepsiCo guidelines
  • To visit and monitor potato stock in good conditions during storage period and take appropriate action in case of deviation. Maintain potato in good health by implementation of post-harvest techniques as recommended by PepsiCo.
  • Preparation of storage report and share in monthly agro review for any watch out
  • To maintain stock control systems at the storage site (recording weight, quality, current storage stock and weight movement out) and also reports outlining weight variances
  • Checking and maintenance of refrigeration and airflow system as per suppliers operations manual by coordination and engagement of 3rd party
  • To train and develop cold store staff and labor on best potato handling and storage practices to minimize potato loses including sprout suppressant application
  • Collaboration with other functions like R&D, Production and Supply Chain for smooth production process
  • To develop and implement SOPs for potato handling on receiving, cold storage and issuance from cold storage. Tracing, reporting and keeping records of entire seed and chipstock starting from store filling to issuance
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of PCI HSE policy in relevant work area
  • Checking and maintenance of all potato handling equipment as per suppliers operational manuals
  • Sterilization of rooms prior to potato receiving by using appropriate sterilization chemicals as approved by PepsiCo
  • To management transport in the storage facility to reduce potatoes being exposed to sunlight
  • To maintain cold storage sanitation conditions according to PepsiCo food safety standard (Maintain good housekeeping and product safety in order to ensure compliance against AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000 and CRP standards).
  • Filling of cold stores as per AOP volumes in compliance with PepsiCo guidelines
  • Storage losses should be as per AOP
  • Collaborate with other functions for meeting business targets
  • Ensure compliance with GCS compliance in all operations.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party store owners for storage management
  • Apart from the above, employee is expected to perform other accountabilities, time to time assigned by the manager.



Knowledge/Skill Experience Competencies

M.Sc (Hons) Agriculture (Specialized in post-harvest technology), Qualified AET

Interpersonal Skills

Minimum 6 Years’ Experience Is Required.
