ABOUT THE ROLE

The Scrum master will be responsible for skillfully removing obstacles and distractions that may impede the team from meeting goals. This individual is the liaison between the Scrum team and people or teams outside the Scrum team. You’ll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects (occasionally facilitating changes) with your mind set on deliverables.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

. Manage each product’s scope and timeline by using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.

. Get the team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.

. Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skill set, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.

. Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational product teams.

. Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

. Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

. Resolves team impediments to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.

. Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.

. Streamlining shortcut (our task management tool) and help scrum teams make the optimum use of the platform

. Helping the product owner maintain product backlogs, new requests and facilitating scrum events (daily standups and other meetings).

. Monitoring progress and performance while helping teams to make improvements by managing tasks, issues, risks and action items.

. Planning, organizing demos and product/system testing.

. Tracking product processes, deliverables, and timelines.

. Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU HAVE

. 5+ years of relevant work experience

. Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models to deliver solutions.

. Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.

. Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.

. Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams.
