Role Purpose:

To lead facilities and administration function across Pakistan. Ensure that the physical environment is fit for purpose in terms of premises, facilities, health & safety, and office accommodation. Ensure that the business has the appropriate level of support for their operational requirements and effective systems and processes are in place.

Main Accountabilities:

Lead management of office premises

  • Oversee BC managed premises including office, libraries and UK appointed staff accommodations.
  • Ensure any premises related project carried out from time to time is as per agreed processes of procurement, contracting and adheres to an approved project plan.
  • Overall responsibility for all soft services including reception services, cleaning, meeting rooms, events management etc.
  • Lead the management of all hard services including repairs and maintenance, property management, management of on/off site storage requirements etc.
  • Management and support of inventory and asset management

Planning and management of facilities functions

  • Manage any outsourced facilities functions to achieve contractual service standards
  • Lead the contracts and contracts management of all facilities contracts
  • Ensure that all records are created and maintained. Compliance to information knowledge management agenda
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and local standards in the areas of health & safety, business continuity provision.
  • Identify process and system improvements and make recommendations for wider improvements in facilities management
  • Budget management, control, compliance and cost efficiency

People management

  • Motivate, develop and lead a brilliant team and build great relationships with external suppliers, making sure contracts are well managed and issues are escalated and resolved as appropriate.
  • Must be able to build trust and confidence through open communications and informing colleagues about issues that will affect their role
  • Coordination and constant engagement with colleagues for matters.
  • Effective, timely and tactful liaison with various authorities, custom authorities and other government departments for clearance of import/export


  • Coordinates with Safeguarding Team in ensuring that third parties, security staff and janitorial services understand safeguarding code of conduct and comply with the safeguarding standards.
  • Ensure the front premises/ library spaces to be designed in a child-friendly and safe space for adults.
  • Escalate safeguarding concern/incidents to the National Safeguarding Manager, Pakistan.

Role requirements

  • Professional qualification in a related field
  • 16 years of education
  • 5 – 6 years of relevant experience at a senior manager level

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience of working with children and vulnerable adults

Experience of safe planning, organization, and delivery of activities for children
