About The Role

The ideal incumbent will have a very well-rounded IT background that encompasses solid knowledge of computing infrastructure (on-premise/cloud), DevOps, networking, operating systems, databases, data and voice communications, telecommunications, data storage (on premise/cloud), disaster recovery strategies, and information security. An entrepreneurial person with a keen eye for efficiency and process improvements. A solid understanding of how IT integrates with the needs of the business and its users. A natural curiosity for investigating new technologies and creating unique solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• The infrastructure and cloud services portfolio includes Datacenter and Hybrid Cloud Services, Network Services, Service Desk and End User services, Service Management and IT operations management tools and services.
• Building out automation tools and working with public cloud APIs.
• Review DevOps monitoring tools and respond to or resolve outstanding issues.
• Develop DevOps tools for rapid detection and response systems.
• Identify and propose new opportunities and future roadmap for the Infrastructure services division aligned with the company vision including outsourcing and managed services
• Implementing and supporting enterprise-class high availability systems;
• Provide technical support for engineering escalations.
• Large scale log collection, analysis, and dashboard creation via Big Data tools.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding configuration, processes, and security.
• Managing all aspects of infrastructure operations and the associated team;
• Conducting daily and weekly scrum/Kanban ceremonies;
• Managing all enterprise-level deployments;
• Reviewing and supervising configurations;
• Acting as the key contact for Vendor Management for all Infrastructure needs;
• Defining KPI’s and SLA’s in conjunction with the manager, and ensuring appropriate service levels throughout the organization;
• Partnering with various stakeholders to facilitate excellent incident, problem, change, and asset management;
• Collaborate effectively with Operations and Support teams

Qualifications

• A formal Computer Science degree and relevant IT certifications (ex. ITIL)
• Experience working with Linux server environments, including developing shell scripts, and working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is desirable
• Experience working with Public Cloud Infrastructure, specifically AWS (AWS S3, AWS ECR, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS + Fargate, AWS EKS, AWS API Gateway, AWS CloudFront, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Certification Manager, AWS Application Load Balancer) is highly desirable
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with PowerShell (version 5 or greater), Bash and Python 3+
• Solid knowledge of Networking, Servers (Windows, Linux), Desktops, Telecommunications, Security, and Service Desk expertise is required
• Experience in successfully constructing a DevOps automated pipeline using trending tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes with Helm, Terraform, Prometheus and Grafana is a definite plus
• Experience with infrastructure automation or infrastructure-as-code environments is essential
• Experience with managing enterprise-class incident management tools and issue tracking systems (e.g. JIRA) and defining processes.
• Experience in an agile & scrum/Kanban environment
• Solid knowledge IT Processes, DevOps, incident, problem, change Management, and KPI’s required
• Experience with Cloud, LAN/WAN, G-Suite Technologies, Storage/Backup Technologies, and Cyber Security would be ideal.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations of a high-quality, multi-platform, multi-site technology infrastructure.

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience working with Django and Flask Frameworks and Zappa deployment to AWS Lambda is highly preferred
• Experience working with RESTful API development and testing is highly desirable
• Experience working with Machine Translation Engine deployment using Tensorflow/Tensorflow-GPU/PyTorch and CUDA 10+ is highly preferred
